English Education Study Program, Universitas Nurul Jadid, Delivers English Pocket Books as an Impactful Campus Outcome

Probolinggo—Efforts to improve the quality of English language learning at the elementary school level were further strengthened through the handover of English Pocket Books for Elementary Schools (Phases A, B, C) at MIN 1 Probolinggo on Friday (January 30, 2026). This program is part of a commitment to provide relevant, practical, and adaptive learning resources for students in the modern education era, while also reflecting the practical implementation of the concept of impactful campuses. A total of 105 copies of the English pocketbook were handed over from the English Education Undergraduate Program at Universitas Nurul Jadid, and officially received by Dr. Siti Munawaroh, S.Psi., M.Pd., the Head of MIN 1 Probolinggo. The event was also attended by the teaching staff and students of the Independent MBKM Program of the English Education Undergraduate Program at Universitas Nurul Jaidid, who were directly involved in the development and guidance of English language learning at the school.

The development of the English Pocket Book is one of the main outcomes of the implementation of the Independent MBKM Program for one semester by the English Education Study Program, Faculty of Social and Humanities. This program is designed to strengthen students' practical competencies while encouraging creativity, independence, and the ability to design contextual learning materials. Students are involved in all stages of book production, from needs analysis, content selection, material development, and language simplification to design and final editing, with the guidance of faculty advisors.

This pocketbook contains essential material such as everyday expressions, basic grammar, vocabulary enrichment, and simple conversations in a concise, communicative, and beginner-friendly format. Its presence is expected to enrich learning resources, increase students' interest and confidence in using English, and encourage a more interactive and applicable learning process.

For Nurul Jadid University, this activity reinforces the strategic role of higher education institutions in having a direct impact on schools and communities. Meanwhile, for MIN 1 Probolinggo, this initiative is a concrete step to strengthen students' English language skills from an early age while opening up opportunities for ongoing collaboration in developing learning innovations.
